As usual, I’m late to share a post I meant to a few weeks ago 🤣 Even though Christmas has passed and we’re more than a month into the new year, I still wanted to share this pic of my fam ❤️

Meant to post these a while ago but had issues uploading so I kept giving up😅 Anyway, here’s some summer adventures I had with @leahbedford ☀️ After spending most of the summer in the hospital or feeling unwell, it was extra meaningful to have some fun. We spent most of our time out on the water and it was lovely🥰 Feels like it was just a few weeks ago, not a few months ago lol… This year has flown by so fast!

The other day I went on my first little hike since surgery & 2 months in hospital - it was so wonderful 🥰 Can’t wait for more time in the forest!

🌸 A wonderful friend of mine passed away this weekend. Although I knew this was coming, it still feels like a shock that we won’t have anymore conversations or exchange gifts and messages in the mail (such as the 2nd + 3rd photos 💞). She was so sweet, thoughtful, and supportive… one of the few people I could talk with about the realities of chronic illness/disability and she would just ‘get it’. Will think of her whenever I’m at a beach or out in nature 🍃

Oops I disappeared on social media again 🙈 Recently got out of the hospital after 2+ months there 😣 wasn’t feeling up to posting much (but you didn’t really miss anything). So glad to be home now and getting back to life (and feeling so much better)!! Really grateful for everyone in my life who has supported me through this and continues to be there for me 💞

Usually I don’t think much about my birthday, but this year I decided to reflect on my life. Sometimes it’s easy to feel stuck, like my life isn’t moving forwards, or frustrated that I’m not where I want to be. But looking back really puts things into perspective. I don’t know how I got through some of the things with my health, mental health, or life in general. There’s been times when I didn’t think I’d make it another day, never mind see another birthday. There has been so much pain and darkness, but I was able to find the light.

I usually dread having to go all the way to Vancouver for an appointment, mainly because 2hrs each way on transit is pretty tiring, especially when my mobility isn’t great. But when I get there I remember what I love about being downtown 🥰 Here’s some street art …a reminder that we are all living on 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘯 land in “Canada.”

Enjoyed some of the sun yesterday even though it’s SO cold!! I’ve been able to get out for short walks lately which has been 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 nice... I was feeling pretty trapped after my recent surgery and I guess I wasn’t feeling as prepared as usual for the recovery part.
